Admissions

18 Months - 5th Grade

Welcome and Thank You For Your Interest!

Below is our admissions process for both Gan Sinai (preschool) and Sinai Learning Lab (lower school). Our preschool candidates' acceptance will depend on availability.  Lower school candidates must provide a letter of recommendation and schedule a student visit.

Step 1 - All Students

Schedule A Tour

Prior to completing the online application, schedule a tour with Rabbi David. Visit our campus, meet our educators, and see our programs in action. Tours are available throughout the week.

Step 2 - Learning Lab Only

Submit an Educator Recommendation

You will receive a unique link to share with your child's current teacher. Please have them submit a recommendation on behalf of your child.

Step 3 - Learning Lab Only

Student Visit

Find a time to bring your child for a visit. Your child will meet with Rabbi David, see the classroom, and meet some new friends.

Step 4 - All Students

Complete Our Enrollment Form

Once you have been notified of your acceptance, we'll send you the link to enroll. Just complete the form and pay your deposit.

Due to limited space, accepted candidates will have two weeks to enroll before we can no longer guarantee space.

Step 5 - All Students

Welcome!

Welcome to the Temple Sinai Family! You'll receive an invitation to download our app so you have everything you need for your first day.

Always feel free to call us with any questions you may have. We're here to help you throughout the process.

All who are attending programs Temple Sinai are required to have completed age-appropriate vaccine schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). We do not accept religious exemptions. Learn about our vaccination policy here.

Tuition

Your tuition helps us pay our teachers fairly, offer them appropriate benefits, and provide for a bright, clean, and friendly learning space with appropriate toys, materials, and educational supplies.

When you enroll you will pay a $750 non-refundable enrollment deposit, which will be credited toward your tuition.

In addition to your tuition, we ask each family to pay a $605 security fee per child so that we may provide on-campus security to keep our children safe throughout the day. Hot lunch and enrichments like early and aftercare, vacation camps, Camp Sinai and Club Sinai are available for an additional cost.

We are proud to offer a sibling discount of 5% of the oldest child’s annual tuition to families with two or more children. This discount will be applied by our office after enrollment.

There is also a 3% discount if you pay your full tuition in one payment upon enrollment.

Temple Sinai participates in both the Step Up for Students scholarship program and Florida VPK, allowing eligible families to receive state funding toward tuition. Learn more below.

If you're child is starting later in the year, you may want to hold a spot by enrolling early. By enrolling early you will guarantee your child's spot when they are ready to begin. To hold a spot you will be asked to pay a holding fee of $250/month until your child begins school.

VPK

VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) is a program funded by the State of Florida that helps cover part of the cost of preschool for children who are four years old by September 1. Families who qualify receive funding from the state that is applied toward tuition. This funding will not cover the full tuition, but every little bit helps.

At Temple Sinai, the VPK funds are credited to your account after they are received from the state. Your monthly payments remain the same until the balance is reduced by the VPK credit. Once the credit is applied, your remaining balance will decrease accordingly. VPK funding is typically finalized later in the school year, so your account may show the full tuition at first. When the funds are received, the credit will be applied automatically.

Please note that we don't receive the final VPK reimbursement until July so if your balance due is completely paid off we will just send you a check with the final VPK disbursement. Learn more and apply. When you receive your VPK certificate, please sign it and upload it to your Mercaz documents.

Step Up

Step Up for Students is a Florida scholarship program that helps eligible families pay for private school tuition. Families who qualify may receive funding through the Family Empowerment Scholarship or other Step Up programs.

Once you receive your Step Up award number, you will submit your award ID number to us through our Mercaz app. We will proactively apply the scholarship to your account and reduce your tuition accordingly. You will still see the full tuition amount on your Temple account until the award is confirmed and applied.

The State of Florida requires parents to log into the Step Up for Students portal to approve both enrollment in our program and each scholarship payment disbursement. These approvals must be completed before funds can be released to the school, so please be on the lookout for emails from Step Up for Students and respond to them promptly.

Scholarship payments are typically sent in several installments throughout the school year. As each payment is received, we will apply the credit to your account and your remaining balance will decrease accordingly.
